Dr. Kerri-Ann always knew from a tender age that her calling lay in the realm of healthcare. Growing up, she witnessed firsthand the profound impact that vision has on everyday living, spurring within her a deep desire to be part of the solution. Her journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University, graduating in the class of 2000.

As a registered nurse, Dr. Kerri-Ann garnered invaluable experience at the bedside, working across various specialties including telemetry, ENT, neurology, and ICU. However, her passion for enhancing vision led her to pursue further education at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she graduated in 2009.

Dr. Kerri-Ann's entrepreneurial spirit flourished as she embarked on a mission close to her heart. Founding De’Cordova Eyewear, her company, became a testament to her unwavering commitment to eradicating eye diseases and aiding individuals in achieving optimal vision not only visually but also through purpose and living. Her drive was fueled
by personal experiences, as her father grappled with serious eye complications that eventually resulted in blindness. De’Cordova Eyewear, The company is named in honor of her father.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Kerri-Ann finds fulfillment in leadership roles within her community. She proudly serves as an Optometry Divas Alumni Ambassador, embodying the ethos of empowerment and mentorship. Additionally, she is a certified John Maxwell Leader and Coach, exemplifying her dedication to personal and professional development.

As a mother of two remarkable young men, Dr. Kerri-Ann's love extends not only to her family but also to humanity as a whole. Her altruistic spirit shines through her philanthropic efforts, exemplified by her book "A Girl with a Big Vision," which aims to provide free eyewear, eye care and school supplies to the children of Jamaica.

A Girl with a Big Vision is about 10 year old Natty’s journey of finding and achieving her dreams of becoming an Eye Doctor and discovering the importance of never giving up on her dreams.
